I would like to introduce myself; my name is John Newman of Newman Contracting, LLC.
I have been in the home improvement/new home construction business for thirty years. I grew up in a small town in Minnesota, moved to Ohio and later settled in Connecticut with plans to expand my business to Connecticut and hope to be as successful here as I have been in Ohio.
My greatest feat in Ohio was designing and constructing my own home; I was able to complete the construction in five months.
Although my house was built in 2000, none of the drywall has cracked, the foundation has not shifted, and the walls and roof remain resilient. With the exception of the exterior brick work and carpet I completed all the work in my home. Although I am not a licensed plumber or electrician, I did all the wiring and rough-in plumbing. I had professionals in these fields certify my work.
By trade I am a finish carpenter so I do all my own carpentry work, including, but not limited to: framing for new additions, installing new drywall, repairing drywall, building decks, installing wood or tile flooring, and repairing or installing a variety of roofs.
I am also experienced in the restoration of older projects.
Though I am not a designer, I can assist in the planning of kitchens, bathrooms, and room additions.
By driving a large work truck that houses all needed supplies, I am able to avoid wasting my customer’s money by staying on the job site instead of having to make unnecessary trips to the store.
I am on time and take my projects to completion. There will be occasions when I need to hire licensed plumbers or electricians, but I am there to oversee their work and act as the general contractor.
I would be willing to come to your home or office to provide you with a free estimate of any work you need done. I am licensed, insured and can provide any number of references if needed.
I personally work with my crew on each project, when you hire my company, you get me as well.
Thank you,
John Newman
